When you savour the cream of the region’s larder in our café, you are doing much more than just enjoying the very best of locally sourced food.

You are building futures.

Money spent here will help to give our young people the skills to stay and bring up families in their hometown.

You may see some of our Food Tech, Hospitality or Business apprentices learning here, as you look out the café windows, or our budding Engineers or the next generation of Renewables recruits.

It is their vision and ideas, nurtured within our walls and domes, that will shape a brighter future for Tain and the Easter Ross peninsula in the years to come.

Just as the domes and the raised beds of our Kitchen Gardens grow the root veg, herbs and salads that flavour the dishes on our menu, your valued custom is a down payment on rejuvenation.

The café itself sustains a team of Chefs, assistants, bakers, front-of-house staff, and managers, all devoted to serving quality produce like the Kale and Pak Choi grown just metres from where you sit.

The hydroponic and traditional growing systems, all here on-site, are a celebration of ingenuity and sustainability, proving fresh food and memorable flavour.

When we can’t grow everything, we champion the pick of what’s around: the finest meats from John Munro, Tain butcher. Seafood from Pro Fish, Dingwall. Free range eggs from Balmuchy Farm, Fearn, and single origin coffee from Inverness Coffee Roasting Company.

Your visit to our café has a wider impact and by supporting us you are playing your part in community rejuvenation.
